James J. Lynch, Jr., age 87, a resident of Christiana, PA, died peacefully on January 18, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Jim was born in Stamford, CT, to the late James J. Lynch, Sr. and Alice Borkowski.  He resided in Stamford and Seymour, CT, before moving to Christiana, PA, where he enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful farmland views.Jim served as a Yeoman 3 ^rd Class in the US Navy and was stationed on 5 cruisers with the Admiral's Staff Commander Cruiser Division Four.  He was a Stamford Fire Fighter and Dispatcher for 22 years and worked for 14 years at Pitney Bowes in Security.  He also worked part time, for many years, for various funeral homes in Fairfield and New Haven Counties.

Jim was a big animal lover and also enjoyed his sports, especially the UCONN women's basketball, the NY Yankees and the NY Giants.

Jim was predeceased by his sisters, Dorothy Petrone and Gladys Zurkowski. Jim is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lucy, of Christiana, PA, his daughter, Maureen Bartolo and his son-in-love, Glenn Bartolo, of Christiana, PA, his granddogs, Max and Mickey, his son, James J. Lynch, III, (Linda) of Pleasant Prairie, WI, and granddaughters, Veronica and Valerie.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Adzima Funeral Home, at 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, CT.  A Prayer Service will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 12:30 pm in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Jim.
