James Louis Juliano, age 91, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Bridgeport Hospital, surrounded by loving family, after suffering with illness for a few years.
Born in Bridgeport on September 21, 1931, to the late Anna Hruska Juliano and James L. Juliano. He attended Saint John Slovak Grade school and was also a graduate of Warren Harding High School. Jim proudly served his country as a member of the Unites States Air Force during the Korean War conflict. Jim was a very active member of the Bridgeport Democratic Party and for numerous years was the district leader for the 138th district. He was the Director of Public Works for the City of Bridgeport for six years which was a position he was very dedicated to and received many accolades and praise from both political parties for the great job he had done as director. Jim was also a very active and dedicated body builder with a great passion for the sport. His tremendous dedication led him to win numerous awards through competition. He was regarded as one of the top in his age group throughout the North East region and the country. Although he never married, Jim was well loved by his ten nieces and nephews and would often refer to them as his children. He was always in attendance for family functions to show love and support.
In addition to his parents, Jim is predeceased by his sisters, Jean Juliano O'Neil, Dorothy Juliano Perham, and their spouses, Richard O'Neil and George Perham, niece, Patricia O'Neil Grabowski and her husband George, all of whom he had a great close and loving relationship with.
He leaves behind in fond remembrance his loving nieces and nephews and their spouses, George & Kathy Perham, Carol & Michael Nizzardo, Teri & John Norko, Jean & Leonard Rosati, Nancy & Wayne Glover, Debbie & Juan Lopez, James & Barbara O'Neil, Richard Jr. & Suzanne O'Neil, Leonard & Jan O'Neil, along with dozens of great nieces and nephews.
Visitation on Wednesday, December 21 st from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday December 22, 2022, at 11 a.m. meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace Church 497 Second Hill Lane Stratford. Interment with full military honors will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
