Ivan A. O'Brien, age 93, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Neysa Williamson O'Brien, passed away on April 12, 2017 in St. Joseph's Manor Health Center, Trumbull. Ivan, a WW II Veteran of the U.S. Army was born in Gardner, Massachusetts to the late Adelard and Beatrice O'Brien and has been along time area resident. He was a retired carpenter for John Simpson Construction, and had previously worked for the Carpenter's Union Local #210 and for O'Brien and Sons Building. Ivan was an avid golfer, and was very proud of recording 6 "Holes- in- one". Survivors include his devoted children, Thomas O'Brien and his wife Medy of Florida, William (Wilbur) O'Brien, Phyllis O'Brien, and Denise O'Brien all of Stratford, 3 grandchildren, Tiffany, Aaron, and Jennifer, and 3 great-grandchildren, Carrie, David and Jack. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 18 ^th at 11:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m.
