Ivadean White D'Amato, age 91, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Dominick D'Amato, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in her home. Mrs. D'Amato, a homemaker, was born in Daisy, Arkansas, to the late Clarence White and Olive (Harris) Pate and has been a long time area resident. She was an avid sewer and never entered a fabric store she did not like; she also enjoyed gardening and will be remembered for her green thumb. Survivors include her devoted children, Janice D'Amato of Stratford and Dominick D'Amato of Seymour, her granddaughter, Stephanie Wilson and her husband Dan of Ansonia, and a great-granddaughter, Scarlett Wilson, her sister, Imadean Seliga of Stratford, several nieces and nephews, and her dear friends and caregivers, Karen and Jackie, who lovingly cared for her. In addition to her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by her son Ronald. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 8th meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace Church 298 Second Hill Lane Stratford at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet her family on Monday from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
