Ida J. Comino Sekelsky, age 86, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Frank Sekelsky Jr., passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in her home. Mrs. Sekelsky, a homemaker was born in Port Chester, New York to the late Vincenzo and Adeline (Frattarola) Comino, and has been a long time area resident. Ida's true passion in life was shopping, cooking and caring for her family. Survivors include her devoted children, Donna Cooney and her husband Bill of Cheshire, Frank Sekelsky III and his wife Geri of Florida, John Sekelsky and his wife Leslie of Monroe, 8 grandchildren, William, Mark, and Michael Cooney, Jennifer and Frank Sekelsky IV (Cindy), Wendy Floramo (Mark), Kaitlin Schon (Kurt), and Jake Sekelsky, 10 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Stella Pagnozzi of Florida, Grace Lawler of Florida, Toni Baker of New York, and Eleanor Hirschbeck and her husband Jack of Florida, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by her brother, Dominick Comino. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 23rd at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
