Hyacinth "Buddy" Battagliotti, age 84, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Anna Piatak Battagliotti, passed away on Saturday December 27, 2014 in his home. Buddy, a retired Crane Operator for Carpenter Steel was born in Oakdale, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Mary (Wanda) Battagliotti and has been a long time area resident. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union, and enjoyed hunting and gardening. Survivors include his devoted children, Joseph Battagliotti of Bridgeport, Anne Hamilton, and Carol Battagliotti both of Stratford, and Cheryl Battagliotti and her husband Michael Herman of MN, 5 cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Sewell and her husband Martin, Joseph Battagliotti and his wife Anna, Jonathan Battagliotti and his fiancé Elizabeth, Donald Hamilton and his wife Marissa, and Christopher Hamilton, 4 great-grandchildren, Anna, J.D., Lucas and Mason, a sister Mary Vodola of Shelton, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife Anna and parents, he was pre-deceased by 7 siblings. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 3rd at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in Buddy's memory to a charity of choice.
