Hope Ann Moniuk Meyer widow of Frank H. Meyer passed away suddenly on Friday February 26, 2010 in her home. Hope was born in Bridgeport beloved daughter of Ann Wairy Moniuk of Fairfield and the late Stephen Moniuk Sr., and had been a resident of Fairfield for many years, before moving to West Haven. She was a 1960 graduate of Andrew Warde High School, and worked in the banking industry for many years before going to work for the Southwest Community Center. Hope will always be remembered for her extreme generosity and for her love for her Acura and her true love of walks on the beach. She was an avid fan of the New York Jets and Giants. Survivors in addition to her mother include her brother and his wife and best friends Stephen and Ann Marie Moniuk, nieces Stephanie Beard and Alycia Moniuk all of Massachusetts, her Godmother and aunt Olga Pidluski, and aunts Pearl Dent, and Helen Flonc, and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and father Hope was pre-deceased by her grandparents Nicholas and Mary Wairy and Harry and Anna Moniuk. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday March 3rd at 10 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with Rev. Stephen Masliuk officiating. Interment will be private. Calling hours on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Panachida Service at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in Hope's memory to a Charity of Choice or to St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church 10 Oakwood St. Bridgeport, CT. 06606
