Helen S. Winter, age 87, of Stratford, passed away on January 8, 2024, at West River HCC, Milford.

Helen was born in Putnam, CT on May 12, 1936, to the late Lucius and Thelma (Haskell) Stebbins and had been a longtime area resident.  She was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School and earned her BS from University Bridgeport. Helen was the proprietor of Old County Crafts and was a longtime member of Christ Episcopal Church, Stratford.

Survivors include her devoted daughter, Alice Chueka and her husband Jim, cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jon), and Stephen (Jillian), great-grandchildren, Elle and Jonny, brother, Allen Stebbins (Nancy).

Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 15th at 10 a.m. meeting directly at Christ Episcopal Church 2000 Main Street Stratford. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery. The Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
