Helen J. Homitz Ogrowski, age 94, of Shelton, formerly of Bridgeport, widow of Anthony Ogrowski, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in Griffin Hospital. Mrs. Ogrowski, a retired assembler for Harvey Hubbell, was born in Dickson City, Pennsylvania, to the late Anthony and Stephania (Kozlowska) Homitz, and has been a long time area resident. Survivors include her devoted grandchildren, John Horahan and his wife Susan of Shelton, Dawn Horahan of Derby, Helen Solotruk and her husband Mark of Shelton, and Todd Twiss of PA, 5 great-grandchildren Sherrie Ostrich, Kimberly Skerencak, Jessica Solotruk, Alexandra and John Horahan, 2 great-great grandchildren Daphney Pate, and Peightyn Skerencak, 2 sisters Eleanor Giannzanti, and Phyllis Sunday, both of PA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband and parents she was pre-deceased by her 2 daughters Delores Cusano and Louise Twiss. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 21st at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church 430 Coram Rd Shelton. Interment will be private.
