Helen Hurley Nobitz age 89 of Stratford passed away on Sunday May 11, 2008 in Northbridge Health Center, Bridgeport. Mrs. Nobitz, the widow of William D. Nobitz was born in Bridgeport to the late Michael and Margaret (Lane) Hurley and has been a life long area resident. She is survived by her beloved children Helen Zdrodowski and her companion Charles Hemstock of West Haven, Robert Nobitz and his wife Roseanne of Prospect, Charles Nobitz and his wife Linda of West Haven, and William Nobitz of Stratford, and his former wife Lucy Nobitz of Prospect, her cherished grandchildren Kristen Nagy and her husband George, Kara Rotheram and her husband Guy, Robert Nobitz and his wife Stacey, James Nobitz, William Nobitz Jr. and Jessica Nobitz, 7 great-grandchildren Matthew, Dawson, Ethan, Danielle, Brittney, Hannah and Joshua. Helen loved to dance every Saturday night and always wore a new outfit. Funeral services will take place on Thursday May 15th at 11:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with Rev. Donald Guglielmi officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery Bridgeport.
