Helen Michalewicz, age 80, of Stratford , the widow of Joseph Michalewicz Sr. died Friday, January 20, 2006 in Bridgeport Hospital, Born in Bridgeport to the late Henry and Stefania Kajma Kurzyna, she has been a life long area resident, retiring from AVCO-LYCOMING as production line assembler. She was a communicant of St. Mark's RC Church in Stratford where she was active in the Ladies Group on Wednesday afternoons. Survivors include a son Joseph Michalewicz and his wife Sharon of Shelton; a daughter Donna Nold of Naugatuck; 2 grandchildren Stephen and Stephanie Nold; 2 brothers Walter Kurzyna of Trumbull and Waczek Kurzyna of NC. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at 9:15 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:00 am in St. Marks church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery Stratford. In Liue of flowers the family request donations be made for Masses in Helen's name at St Mark's Church. Friends may call on Monday from 4 – 8 pm.
