Helen Kravec Kalagian, age 91, of Shelton, the widow of Michael Kalagian passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2011 in Shelton Lakes Nursing Home. Helen, a retired assembler with Country Home Bakery was born in Bridgeport to the late John and Elizabeth Kravec and has been a life long area resident. Survivors include her beloved children: Michael Kalagian and his wife Gladys of Bridgeport, Barbara Raimundo and husband John of Florida, and Joann Salomon and her husband Robert of New Milford, 11 grandchildren, Michelle, Susan, Lynn, Christine, Dan, Laura. Bobby, Anthony, Brian, Christopher, and Matthew; 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was pre-deceased by her son and daughter-in-law John and Theresa Kalagian, and a grandson Michael. Funeral services will take place on Friday January 27th at 9 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
