Helen Dudak Heran, age 88, of Milford, the beloved widow of Frank J. Heran entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 12, 2013 in the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Born in Ramey, PA to the late Mary (Bobby) and Andrew Dudak, Helen worked for many years for the D.M. Reads Co in Bridgeport. Survivors include her devoted son, Dennis Heran of Tucson, AZ, two sisters, Catherine Breza of Fairfield, Irene Bandre and her husband Andrew of Monroe, a brother Paul Dudak of Marlow, NH, three grandchildren, Brian and his wife Tracy, Erin and Kelly, five great-granddaughters two great-grandsons all of Virginia, a special nephew Bradley Breza of Fairfield and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she is predeceased by a beloved daughter Francine Southerland. The family would like to express deep appreciation to the Connecticut hospice for their kind care given to Helen and the kindness and thoughtfulness shown to us when we visited. In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made in Helen's memory to the Connecticut Hospice 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, Connecticut 06405 or to a charity of choice. Funeral services will take place on Monday, September, 16, 2013 at 9:00 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Grace Church 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford with a Mass of Christian Burial officiate by Monsignor Martin Ryan. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-5pm.
