Helen Theresa Guman, formerly of Stratford, celebrated her 100th birthday on 11/11/2017. She passed away in Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation and Health Center in Millsboro, Delaware on Saturday, December 23, 2017. Helen the widow of George Guman, was born in Bridgeport to the late Andrew and Susan (Safian) Imbro and was a lifelong resident until moving to Delaware ten years ago. Survivors include her beloved daughter, Barbara Kergaard and her husband David of Milton, DE, a granddaughter, Tara Coates and her husband David, a step granddaughter, Kelly Rogers and her husband Chad and daughter Kaelyn, and a step granddaughter, Casey King and her daughter Brooke, and her fiancée Murray Clark and several nieces and nephews. Also her devoted caregiver and friend, Sherita Doughty. She was predeceased by four brothers, Michael, Andrew, John, and George Imbro and four sisters, Mary and Margaret Imbro and Agnes Kubica. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 10 am meeting directly at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 1950 Barnum Ave Stratford. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. The family would like to thank the staff at Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation and Health Center for the compassionate care they provided Helen for five years.
