Helen P. Giammattei, age 98 of Stratford, died Thursday, January 4, 2007 in Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center Stratford. Born in New Haven to the late Michael and Marianna (Torone) Pacelli, she has been a life long Stratford resident. Helen was the widow of Alphonse Giammattei and was retired from Reads Department Store where she was a salesperson. Survivors include 2 sons Ralph Giammattei and Lucille Pember of Stratford and James Giammattei and his wife Dawn of Shelton; 6 grandchildren; Gail Koripsky, David Giammattei, James Giammattei, Donna Wrubel, Paula Love and Michael Giammattei; 13 great grandchildren Kaylyn and Kristen Koripsky, Nicholas, Adam, Allie, Jessica and Benjamin Giammattei, Kendra, Mason and Dylan Love, Max, Jessica and Ben Wrubel; 2 sisters Josephine Chadwick of North Branford and Agnes Macolino; several nieces and nephews; she was predeceased by a daughter-in law Mary Anne Giammattei, 2 brothers Louis Pacelli and Ernest Macolino and 2 sisters Frances Detoro and Antoinette DeGioia. Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 8, 2006 at 10:30 am in St. Marks RC Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery Garden Mausoleum Stratford. Friends may call on Monday Morning from 9-10 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
