Helen Bobko Dixon, age 81 of Stratford, passed away on Sunday February 4, 2007 in Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center Stratford. Mrs. Dixon, a retired bookkeeper for Connecticut Photo Blue, was born in Stratford to the late Michael and Susie (Kopcik) Bobko and has been a life long area resident. She was a member of the Miamogue Yacht Club, where she served as past president of the women's auxiliary and past-treasurer and scorekeeper for the woman's shuffleboard league. Survivors include her devoted son Kenneth Dixon of TN,2 grandchildren Renee and Robert Dixon, 4 great-grandchildren, her sister Anna Franklin of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her 4 brothers Peter, Michael, George and Stephen Bobko and her long time companion Albert Christian. Funeral services will take place on Friday February 9th at 8:45 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church Stratford for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-6 p.m. Panachida on Thursday at 5 p.m.
