Helen Ceccarelli of Stratford age 87, widow of John Ceccarelli, passed away in Bridgeport Hospital on Sunday July 29, 2007. Born in Carmel PA to Peter and Anna Minzora Zielinski, Helen was a lifelong area resident for over 80 years. Retired from General Electric with 30 years of service as an assembler, she was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club, and had been very active in the Our Lady of Grace Mother's Guild. Helen, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, will be sorely missed for her loving and caring ways. Survivors include her daughter Debbie Greenwood and her husband James of Monroe and their children Kelly and Jason Takacs of Fairfield, Kristen and Michael Gill of Stratford, Jill Greenwood of Stamford; a son John Ceccarelli and his wife Janet of Brandon FL, and their children James and Jennifer Ceccarelli and Gina and Joseph DiPaula of Florida; great grandchildren, Ethan Takacs, Alexa Gill, Sophia DiPaula, Zack, Emma, Caroline and Anna Ceccarelli and a sister Ann Chmura. Brothers John and Michael Zielinski, sisters Mary Sura, Jean Zielinski, and Frances Catlin predeceased Helen. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 10:15 am in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Pl. Stratford, and 11:00am in Our Lady of Grace Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull. Friends are invited call on Tuesday from 4 – 8 pm.
