Harry F. Smith Jr., age 67, of North Hampton, New Hampshire, formerly of Newtown, beloved husband of Marguerite Annette Smith, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 in Portsmouth Hospital. Harry, a U.S. Navy Veteran, was born in Granite City, Illinois on March 19, 1949 to the late Harry F. Smith Sr. and Anna Kutej Smith, and had been a Newtown resident for twenty-five years, prior to moving to New Hampshire three years ago. He was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport School of Engineering, and worked for Perkin Elmer for ten years, before earning his law degree from University of Bridgeport, and becoming a partner at Harrington and Smith Law Firm in Shelton, retiring in 2013. Harry was an avid gardener and art lover. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of thirty years, include his devoted children, Adam M. Smith and his wife Sarah Bow-Smith of Hawaii, Joshua A. Smith and his wife Sarah of Arizona, step-children, Leah M. Beattie of New Hampshire, and Adam N. Prokop of Hawaii, 3 cherished grandchildren, Alexander F. Smith, Drew and Emery Beattie, a brother, George Malcolm Smith of Norway, and 2 nieces. Friends may visit with Harry's family on Saturday, March 4 ^th from 10 a.m. –1p.m in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, a prayer service will be held at 12:30 p.m. with full military honors to follow. Interment will be private.
