Harold Doran, 81, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 27th, 2014 in his Stratford home with his loving wife and daughter by his side. Harold, lovingly referred to as "Hal", will be remembered as an incessant jokester who was passionate about the happiness of his family. Hal was born in Bridgeport, CT on October 3, 1932 and was the son of the late Harold Doran and Margaret (Corry) Doran and brother of the late Raymond Doran. Hal graduated from Fairfield University in 1956 and earned his MBA from the University of Bridgeport in 1969. Harold was a peacetime veteran serving in the United States Army stationed in Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. Following his service, he worked as an accountant at Dicatphone and became Controller at J.A. Sexauer in White Plains, NY. Hal is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jean Doran, his daughter Patricia Tangney and her husband Terrence Tangney. He is also survived by his three cherished granddaughters Katie, Carolyn and Lauren Tangney and several nieces and nephews. Last but not least, he will be greatly missed by his granddog Maya Tangney, his companion at many dinners at his daughter's home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, July 1st at 10:00am DIRECTLY in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7pm in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.
