Gloria Lillian (Rahgo) Murcko, formerly of Stratford, died on June 6, 2015 at Mary WadeHome in New Haven.Born on April 3, 1922, in Bridgeport, CT, she graduated from Bassick High School, classof 1939, and attended Albertus Magnus College and Booth & Bayliss Business School. She was secretary of St. James School in Stratford, and then secretary of St. Mark Parish in Stratford for 17 years. She was the coordinator of the St. Mark Travel Group and loved traveling extensively to places like Italy, Greece, China, Kenya, and Australia.She was predeceased by her husband, Nelson Frank Murcko, to whom she was married for 45 years. Together they were founding members of the Booth Memorial Park Astronomical Society of Stratford. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Lynn Lanz.Gloria was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mark Church, a member of the Guild of Our Lady, a minister to the sick, and a Dominican Tertiary.She was predeceased by her three brothers Bill, Nicholas, and George Rahgo, and alsoher three sisters, Marie Tangorra, Rose Monte, and Regina (Babe) Thornhill.Survivors include daughter Pamela Stanton and her husband, John Sawyer, of New Haven; daughter Lisa Bronowicz of Santa Fe, NM; son Glenn Murcko of Santa Fe, NM; son­in­law, Russell Lanz of Stratford; grandchildren, Christine Costello and her husbandDave Maglione of Milford; Kate Stanton and her husband, John Scanlon, of Cambridge, MA; David Lanz and Gregory Lanz of Stratford, Glenn Michael Murcko of New York; and a great grandson, Hugo Scanlon. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 9:15AM in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10AM in St Mark Church Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
