Gloria Ann Izzo-Hoyt, (Pagliaro), age 95, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Ralph Izzo and Robert Hoyt, passed away on October 17, 2023.

Gloria was born in Bridgeport on May 9, 1928, to the late Michael and Mary (Rapillo) Pagliaro and had been a lifelong area resident, moving to Stratford in 1985 where she resided until her death.  She was a graduate of Central High School and was a retired receptionist for The Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield for 30 years.

After graduating high school, Gloria moved to New York City to study singing. She performed at Carnegie Hall as a soloist when she was 18 years old and studied at the Metropolitan Opera. Gloria was a choir member at Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford, and performed in many musical productions with the Church cabaret players. She also sang Mass at St. Raphael's Church in Bridgeport for many years.

Gloria enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida, where she spent many winters at her condo; she loved visiting the beach, reading at the library, planning get-togethers and spending time with friends and family during the holidays. She also loved having her Our Lady of Grace choir friends over for lunch and dinner at her home.

Gloria was pre-deceased by her sister, Marie Pinto (Pagliaro) of Trumbull.   Survivors include her devoted children, Paul Izzo and his wife Linda of Shelton and Cynthia Ann Kleist of Southington, cherished grandchildren, Alice Izzo, Cindy Kleist and Bryan Kleist.

Visitation on Monday, October 23rd from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Monsignor Martin Ryan on Tuesday, October 24th at 11:00 a.m. meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace Church, 498 Second Hill Lane Stratford. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
