Gerald E Brown Sr. age 90, of Stratford, the beloved husband of the late Rosemarie Allis Brown, passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side. 

Born Bridgeport on March 29, 1936, son of the late Dreyton and Alice Barnhart Brown, he has been a lifelong area resident. Gerald was a retired line foreman with United Illuminating and was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. Survivors include his devoted children, Donna Basta and her husband Kevin, Gerald Brown Jr and his wife Katherine, Ronald Brown, Lisa Brown and Charisse Corsale and her husband Mario, his loving grandchildren, Kevin Basta Jr. and his wife Lauren, Amanda Basta and Gregorio Corsale, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services will take place on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 9:30 am in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:00 am in Holy Name of Jesus Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will be in St. John’s Cemetery, 500 Moose Hill Road, Monroe. Friends may greet the family on Friday from 8:30-9:30 am.
