Georgette Deeb Majernicek, age 75, of Stratford, beloved mother of John Steve Majernicek and wife of John Majernicek Sr, passed away on December 23, 2018 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. In her younger days, Georgette assembled wiring for computer systems for NASDAQ and Norden Missile systems. She enjoyed gardening, especially caring for flowers, cooking, the beach, shopping, and listening to Arabic Music. Survivors in addition to her husband include her devoted son, John Majernicek Jr. of Glastonbury, mother, Maryana Kahali Deeb of Fairfield, brothers, Gaby Deeb of Fairfield, Michael Deeb of Stratford, Georg Deeb of Germany, sisters, Najwa Deeb Nasra, Rachel Deeb Loza, Emil Deeb Bitar all of Syria, and several nieces and nephews. In addition, Georgette was pre-deceased by a brother, John Deeb and father, Abdeu Deeb. Calling hours for Friends to visit her with her family will be on Thursday, January the 3rd from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Family and friends will attend The Rite of Burial that will be celebrated on Friday January 4, 2019 at 10 a.m meeting directly at St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, 5458 Park Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Monroe.
