George Miller, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6th in his home in Milford, CT. George was born in Glasgow, Scotland to James and Margaret (nee McGeachy) Miller on April 1, 1921. His family and friends will fondly remember George as a quiet man with an unassuming character and habits, but with many sterling qualities. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, a good friend, a 50-year member of the Roofers Local Union #12, and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and an avid reader and a lover of dogs. George leaves his wife Angela of 67 years, to cherish his memory, his loving children; daughter and son-in-law Georgene Miller and Roy O'Shaughnessy of Vancouver, British Columbia, son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Diane Miller of Shelton, CT, and daughter and son-in-law Jo-Ann Miller and Robert Colandro of Milford, CT and eight beloved grandchildren; Conor and Morgan O'Shaughnessy, Courtney, Alison and Jesse Miller, Dain, Ian and Devin Colandro. He is also survived by his brother, James Miller of Dayton, OH, Coletta Abbanato of Boynton Beach, FL, who was like a sister to him, and many dearly loved nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-law. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers; David, Maxwell, Edgar and Robert Miller. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the VITAS hospice nurses and personnel who provided George with compassionate and professional medical care.

Funeral services will be held at Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford on
Wednesday February 11th at 11:00am.
Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00am on Wednesday. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at Mount Saint Peters Cemetery, Derby.
