George R. Kopasz, age 84, of Stratford, beloved husband of Dorothy Roehl Kopasz, passed away on November 16, 2017 in his home. George was born in Bridgeport on March 22, 1933 to the late George and Elizabeth (Janocsik) Kopasz and has been a life long area resident. He was retired from State Line Potato Chip Company, and served for 10 years in the Connecticut National Guard. Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 58 years; include his devoted daughter, Mary "who will always be his special angel"; a sister, Irene Mandulak of Shelton, sisters-in-law, Mary Stimpson of South Carolina, and Christine Johnson of North Haven, brother-in-law, William Roehl of North Haven, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, George was pre-deceaed by his sisters, Mary Pechena, Emma Filimon, Betty Sipos, and Olga Sandor. Graveside funeral services will take place on Monday, November 20 ^th at 10:30 a.m. meeting directly at Mountain Grove Of Easton Cemetery, Harvester Road Easton.
