Obituary

Fred Paul, age 90, of Stratford, the widower of Elsie Hesselberg Paul, died on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 in Hewitt Health Care Center in Shelton. Born in Queens, NY to the Late Adolph and Angela (Schindler) Paul, he lived in Long Island, NY until 1946 when he move to Stratford. He was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army and served in campaigns in Central Europe, the Rhineland's, Rome-Arno and Southern France. Fred was a retired assembler for Sikorsky Air Craft and a long time communicant of Grace Lutheran Church in Stratford. He was a member of the Sikorsky ¼ Century Club, the Sikorsky Retirees Friendship Club, T.O.P.S. where he was past Treasurer, Grace Lutheran Friendship Club, and the Teamsters Local 1150. Survivors include his beloved daughter Judith Ann Albers and her husband David of the Huntington section of Shelton; three grandchildren Cindy Roberts and her husband Joseph, Timothy Albers and his wife Elisabeth and Jonathan Albers; four great-grandchildren Joey and Nicholas Roberts and Eric and Rebecca Albers. A grandson Michael David Albers predeceased him. Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 27, 2006 at 10 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 11:00 am in Grace Lutheran Church Chapel Street Stratford with the Rev Joan Sorenson officiating. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-6 pm. In lieu of flowers those desiring to make donations may do so to the CT Hospice 680 Bridgeport Avenue Shelton, CT 06484.
