Fedeli "Fred" DiGiacomo, age 93, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Zaleta DiGiacomo, passed away on January 10, 2018 in Connecticut Hospice Branford. Fred, a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army was born in Bridgeport on September 29, 1924 to the late Fedele and Lena (Carraro) DiGiacomo and has been a long time area resident. He was a graduate of Paier College of Art and was a retired Graphic Artist for Sikorsky Aircraft. Survivors include his devoted children, David DiGiacomo of Branford, and Dawn Onze and her husband Tom of Milford, his sister, Theresa Tantimonico, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Fred was pre-deceased by his brother, Carmine DiGiacomo, sister, Rose Polozzolo, and his beloved grandson, Mark Onze. The DiGiacomo family would like to thank the staff of Atria Stratford and Connecticut Hospice for their kind and loving care. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, January 16th at 11:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with Deacon Michael Saranich officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.   Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
