Frank Manuel Ruemmele Sr. age 68, of Stratford, a retired welder, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born Caguas, Puerto Rico he has been a resident of Connecticut for 55 years. He enjoyed building classic cars and watching TV (especially discovery channel). He loved to work with his hands and could often be found in the garage building birdhouses or in the garden planting. Frank loved life and was always happy to share his joy with everyone who came in contact with him. Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Carmen Ruemmele; his children, Frank Ruemmele Jr of Stratford, Diana Ruemmele and her husband Brian Stirbis of Stratford and Carmen Ruemmele of Brooklyn, NY; 9 grandchildren, Frank Ruemmele III, Victoria Ruemmele, Daja Phillips, Natalia Roman, Matthew Ruemmele-Stirbis, Nathan Ruemmele-Stirbis, Nicholas Ruemmele, Dayanara Ruemmele-Stirbis and Lucas Ruemmele; a brother Carlos Ruemmele-Rivera of Springfield, MA; a sister Blanca Rodriguez of Yauco, Puerto Rico; and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends and family on Tuesday April 7th from 4:00-7:00pm at Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, April 8th at 9:30am at the funeral home and at 10:30am at Our Lady of Grace Church Stratford with a Mass Of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
