Frank S. Pistey, age 85, of Trumbull, a retired Foreman with Bridgeport Brass, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2009 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport to the late Stephen and Theresa (Voytek) Pistey, he has resided in the area all of his life. He was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII and was amphibious on D'Day. He was a member of The Knights of Columbus Fairfield Chapter and Past President of the Bridgeport Brass Anchor Club. Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years Frances Sobon Pistey; 2 devoted daughters: Beverly Slavick and her husband Donald of Cooper City, FLA and Barbara Rendina and her husband Richard of Palm Beach Garden, FLA; 5 grandchildren: Jeanne Boughner, James and Jeff Slavick, Brett and Rachel Rendina; 5 great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Selah, Janet, Kacie and Cayla; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 sisters Helen Bloszko and Betty Soltis. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 9:00 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:00 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church in Trumbull with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with Full Military Honors will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Monday (TODAY) from 4-7 pm.
