Obituary

Frank J. Bredice, age 83, of Stratford, beloved husband of Melinda Renzulli Bredice, passed away on September 13, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital after a long illness.

Frank was born in Bridgeport on March 9, 1939, to the late Michael and Elizabeth Volpe Bredice and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Harding High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve. Frank was retired from the financial aid department of Porter and Chester Institute after a long career with Bristol Babcock (formerly American Chain & Cable Co.). He was a loyal fan of the New York Yankees and JETS who also enjoyed fishing and attending Yankees games with his sons and grandsons. Always a fun-loving and supportive Papa, Frank loved cheering on his grandchildren at their various sporting events.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 61 years, include his devoted son, Vincent Bredice and his wife, Jackie, of Monroe; daughter-in-law, Lisa Bredice of Seymour; cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Tyler, Evan, and Carleigh; brothers, Raymond Bredice and his wife, Madeline, of Stratford and James Bredice of Monroe, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Frank was pre-deceased by his son, David and brother, Michael.

Visitation on Monday, September 19th from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Funeral services on Tuesday, September 20th at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by interment in St. John's Cemetery, Monroe.
