Frank "Key" Agvent, age 89, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Dolores "Del" Cristini Agvent, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in his home. Key, a WW II Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard and was a Plank Owner. He was born in Bridgeport to the late Anthony and Irene (Buda) Agvent, and has been a life long area resident. Key was a graduate of Stratford High School, and was retired from Raybestos after 40 plus years of service and played fast pitch softball for the Raybestos Brakeliners. He enjoyed many vacations with "the gang" and skiing with Rotary Ski Shop. Survivors include his devoted sons, Frank Agvent and his wife Lynn of Milford, Don Agvent and his wife Coleen of Shelton and Tom Agvent of Stratford, 4 cherished grandchildren, April Agvent (Karl), Jason Agvent (Melissa), Donald Agvent (Brenda) and Tim Agvent, 2 great-grandchildren, Dylan and Chase and brothers Charles, Edward and Tony. His brother Ray predeceased him. The family would like to thank Beverly and Patrice for their outstanding care and commitment to Key. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 16th at 10:30 a.m. meeting directly at Our Lady of Grace Church 497 Second Hill Lane Stratford. Interment with full military honors will be in Lawn Cemetery, Huntington. Friends may greet his family on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
