Francis Kochis, age 87 of TrFrancis "Frank" Kochis, age 87 of Trumbull, died Friday December 2, 2005 in St. Vincent's Medical Center Bridgeport. Born in Bridgeport to the late John and Anna (Hornak) Kochis, he has been a lifelong Trumbull resident. Frank was a retired General Supervisor for the Remington Arms Co. He was on the Trumbull Zoning Board of Appeals for over 25 years and an active member of the Trumbull Democratic Committee, an usher of St. Theresa's Church for many years and a former member of the Remington Arms Gun Club. Frank was referred to as "amazing" He had a great love for his family and left a legacy to be proud of. "There is no greater love than that of a father and there was no greater father than Frank" He was an avid boater, fisherman and gardener. Survivors include his beloved wife Clay-Dee Whitehead Kochis a daughter Kathy Kochiss Mongillo and her husband Tony of Trumbull; a daughter-in-law Jo-Marie Kochiss of Florida; 5 Grandchildren: Jeff Kochiss and his fiancé Jessica Kalemba of Washington DC, Matt Kochiss and his girlfriend Jennifer St. Pierre of Bridgeport, Mary Kochiss of Florida, Anthony and Cristina Mongillo of Trumbull; several nieces and nephews. Two sons Ken and Keith Kochiss predeceased Frank. The Kochis family would like to thank the physicians and health care professionals who took fabulous care of Frank especially his son-in law Anthony Mongillo M.D. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 10 am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa's RC Church Main Street Trumbull. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Trumbull. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 – 8 pm.
