Frances Wasco, age 98, of Bridgeport, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 in Maefair Health Center, Trumbull. Frances was born in Bridgeport on December 11, 1916 to the late John and Mary (Pavlik) Wasco, and has been a life long area resident. She was retired from International Harvester, and was a life long member of the Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist in Bridgeport and their Seniors. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Eleanor Adzima, Gary Adzima (Carole), Robert Wasco (Betty), Alix Semanchik (Don), Tica Webster, Carl Bigda (Cathy), great-nieces and nephews, Greg, Matt, Andrea, Peter, Christina, Mary, David, Kimberly, Laurie and Sandra Brian, and 21 great-great- nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Frances was pre-deceased by her brother, Frank and sisters, Mary and Ann Wasco, Helen Adzima, Elsye Coskey. Ethyle Bekech and Patricia Bigda, and a nephew Richard Adzima. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 16th at 10am in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:30 in the Carpatho Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 9-10 a.m. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in memory of Frances to St. John's Church.
