Frances Barvenik, age 91, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on April 8, 2018. Frances was born and raised in Shelton, CT and after marrying Mathew Barvenik, was a lifelong resident of Trumbull, CT where they raised their family of eight children. Frances was an accordion player, and traveled the Northeast, performing for the USO. She was then an accountant, and worked until age 85. Frances was a smart, determined wife, mother and grandmother, strong in her faith, her convictions, and love of her family. She loved the time she spent being in her gardens, watching and listening to the birds, doing puzzles, and mostly the time she spent with her family, children and grandchildren. She will be so dearly missed. Frances is predeceased by her husband Matthew Barvenik, and is survived by her eight children and ten grandchildren: Matthew Barvenik and wife Marion; David Barvenik and Amit Oren; Marianne Gill, her husband Lawrence and their children Shannon, Seth and Devin; Kathleen Palascak, her husband Miro and their children Emilia and Michael; Susan Murray and her son Ethan; Rosemary Barvenik and Hector Rodriguez; Annmarie Giammattei, her husband David and their children Adam and Ben; Maureen Gazzola, her husband Jack and their children Claire and Jessie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 11 ^th at 10:30 a.m. meeting directly at St. Catherine of Siena Church 220 Shelton Road, Trumbull. Interment will be in Nichols Village Cemetery Trumbull. At the family' request calling hours have been omitted.
