Florence De Palma Cervone, age 95 formerly of Fairfield, the widow of John B. Cervone passed away on Sunday July 4, 2010. Mrs. Cervone, a retired assembler for Remington Rand was born in Bridgeport to the late Ralph and Filomena (Montulli) De Palma and has been a life long area resident. She was a member of the AVCO Seniors. Survivors include her beloved children Angelo Cervone and his wife Camille of Monroe, John Cervone and his wife Patricia of Milford, Louis Cervone and his wife Joyce of Shelton, Josephine Peschell and her husband Kenneth of Stratford, Florence Roy and her husband Joseph of SC, and Joan Hongo and her husband Steve of Wallingford, 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband she was pre-deceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services will take place on Friday July 9th at 9a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10 a.m. in St. Mark's Church Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery Stratford. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations to a charity of choice.
