IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Florence P.
Andras
February 16, 1930 – May 3, 2024
Florence (Packer) Andras, age 94, of Easton CT., beloved wife of the late Michael Andras, passed away suddenly in her favorite place, her home, on Friday, May 3, 2024.
Florence was born in Bridgeport, to the late Joseph and Helen Packer on February 16, 1930. Florence was predeceased by her brother, Robert Packer Sr., and his wife Kathleen. Florence was happily married for many years to Mike. They were a strong team who pulled together flipping houses, building stone walls, caring for their property. When they found their 1715 dream home in Easton, they worked tirelessly renovating it and preserving its authentic charm and here is where they laid down their roots. They also took time to enjoy themselves and traveled the US and abroad. Florence's talents were also evident in the kitchen, and she was known to be a great chef and baker, which family and friends were invited to come and enjoy.
Florence was a longtime parishioner of Notre Dame Church and was a daily communicant as long as she could drive. She was someone you could count on to pray for anyone in need and her rosary beads were always with her. Her faith sustained her and gave her comfort and the will to carry on for thirty-five years after her loving husband passed on.
Florence will be remembered as a strong, independent woman who never wanted to burden or bother anyone. She took pride in doing things for herself. She loved having visitors and had a gift for listening, and a greater gift for talking on any subject. Her memorable gifts to all of us are her friendliness, quick smile, generous heart, cheerfulness, and love of life.
Florence is survived by her nephews, Bill Andras (Jan) of North Carolina., John Andras (Trina) of Pennsylvania, John Hrebin of Florida., and niece, Mary Ellen Andras of New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 10:00am, meeting directly at Notre Dame of Easton, 655 Morehouse Road. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, 2610 Nichols Ave., Stratford.
The Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
