Evelyn G. Wales, age 94, of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Donald B. Wales Sr., passed away on October 5, 2021, in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport.

Evelyn was born in Bridgeport on October 20, 1926, to the late Andrew and Mary (Mudrick) Babey and had been a lifelong area resident. She was retired from Harvey Hubbell Inc. Evelyn was active in her community and served as a Brownie, Girl Scout and 4H leader.  She was a member of the Monroe Mother's Club and the Masuk High School Parent's Club; as well as the past president of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 10106 in Monroe.

Survivors include her devoted children, Dona-Lyn P. Wales of Monroe, and Donald B. Wales Jr. and his wife Susan, of Southport, cherished granddaughters, Kristen and Allison; and stepbrother, Sidney Albertsen of Cromwell. In addition to her beloved parents, and husband, Evelyn was pre-deceased by her son, Eric, and sister, Dorothy Wrabel.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, followed by a Requiem Funeral Service at 11a.m. in The Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, 364 Mill Hill Avenue Bridgeport. Everyone in attendance must follow the COVID 19 guidelines, wear a mask and practice social distancing Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
