Evelyn M. Lendacky, age 88, of Stratford, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Evelyn, a retired Secretary for the General Electric Company was born in Bridgeport to the late Joseph and Mary (Satton) Lendacky and has been a life long area resident. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and doing her outdoor "chores", and was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club. Survivors include her sister, Ruth Yeomans, a brother, Edward Lendacky and his wife Elaine all of Stratford, nephews, Glenn Yeomans (Anne), David Lendacky (Susan), and Thomas Lendacky, a niece Laurie Lendacky, a great nephew Andrew, and 2 great-nieces, Jennifer and Jaime. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 3rd a t 9:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. At the family's request prior calling hours have been omitted.
