Evelyn M. Ferko, age 99, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late William R. Ferko, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026. 

Evelyn was born in Dickson City, Pennsylvania on August 26, 1926, to the late Alexander and Mary (Sobkowiak) Cieciorka, and has been a longtime area resident. She was a retired lunch lady for the Stratford Board of Education and was a parishioner of St. James Church. 

Survivors include her devoted children, Raymond Ferko of Stratford, Joan Betz of Mt. Kisco, New York, and Laura Blackmon and her husband Rick of Alabama, cherished grandchildren, Eric Passos (Kori), Jeremy Passos (Alyssa), and Nicole Lujero and her husband Cris, great-grandchildren, Emma, Aurora, Hailey, Wesley, and Joseph, sister, Theresa Socha, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Evelyn was pre-deceased by her brothers, Joseph, Edward and Bernard. 

Visitation on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 09:30-10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. James Church Stratford. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Monroe.
