Bevans – Eugene Bevans age 75 of Stratford, passed away in Bridgeport Hospital on Monday October 22, 2007. Born in Bridgeport to the late John and Lillian Wieser Bevans, he was a lifelong Stratford resident. Eugene retired from Dresser Industries with 50 years of service in the shipping and receiving department and was a member of the quarter century club. Besides his love for his family, Eugene's passion in life was playing the daily numbers and his Lottery Scratch Off games. He is survived by three brothers, Donald and Robert Bevans of Stratford, John Bevans and his late wife Louise of Bridgeport, three sisters, Dorothy and Lillian Bevans and Kathleen Mott, all of Stratford; nephews John Bevans and his wife Dolores of Bridgeport, Shawn Mott and his wife AnnMarie of Stratford, Donald Mott Jr. of Milford, two nieces, AnnMarie McGee and her husband Ray of Huntington and Barbara Bevans. Also four great nephews, Tyler Mott of West Haven, Dillon Mott of Stratford, Michael Bevans of Bridgeport, Matthew McGee of Huntington, two great nieces, Amanda Kochis of West Haven and Hannah Mott of Stratford. He was pre-deceased by a brother Thomas and his late wife Dorothy. Funeral services will be held in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Pl., Stfd. on Wednesday October 24 at 10:15 AM with Monsignor William Schultz officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery in Monroe. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the Service
