Ethel Stevens Noel age 96 of Shelton, the widow of Robert W. Noel passed away on Monday September 21, 2009 in Griffin Hospital. Mrs. Noel a retired assembler for Remington Arms was born in Monroe to the late Edwin and Jenny Andrews Stevens and has been a life long area resident, living at Shelton Lakes for the past 1 ½ years. Ethel was an avid traveler and enjoyed most of her trips cruising. She was a great homemaker and loved to cook and bake. She was a member of Baldwin and Shelton Seniors, and the Sikorsky retirement and travel group. Survivors include her beloved daughters Priscilla Masek and Phyllis Samor both of Shelton, 5 grandchildren Douglas Masek, Karen Olivia, Jennifer Rhind and her husband David, Laura Molnar and her husband Paul and David Samor and his significant other Ashley Bowen, great-grandchildren Danny and Rose, Jessica, Victoria Lee, Justin, Benjamin, Alexander, Matthew, Jenna, Lauren and Christopher, a great-great granddaughter Jada, 2 sisters Phyllis Farrel and Beatrice Ryan and her husband George and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was pre-deceased by her son-in-law Richard Masek, grandson Keith Masek, and brother's Lloyd, Clifford, Wilford, Hamford and Richard Stevens. Funeral services willtake place on Friday September 25th at 1 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford with Rev. Meg Williams officiating. Interment will be private.
