Emil W. Garber, age 87, of Bridgeport, the widower of Josephine Criscione Garber died Thursday, April 20, 2006 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport to the late Michael and Mary Wargo Garber he has been a lifelong area resident. He was the former Proprietor of Emil's Pizzeria in Bridgeport and later Emil's Food Service. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Magicians. Survivors include 3 sons Robert Garber and his wife Phyllis of Shelton, George Garber and his wife Kathleen of the Bronx, NY and Dennis Garber and his wife Gerri of Oxford; a daughter Linda Konecny and her husband Leonard of Southbury; a brother Art Garber of Bridgeport; 11 Grandchildren Robert Jr, Elisa, Michelle, Daniel, Sasha, and Katherine Garber, Liah, David, Mark, and Emily Konecny, and 4 great grandchildren Emmett, Zackary, Max and Jacob. Emil was predeceased by his wife Josephine and a son Emil. Funeral services will take place on Monday, April 24, 2006 at 1:00 pm in St. Lawrence RC Church Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may greet the family on Sunday from 4-7 pm in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
