Elizabeth Josephine Morzello Somley, age 84, of Bridgeport, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Bridgeport Hospital. Elizabeth was also born at Bridgeport Hospital to the late Anthony and Florence (Jackson) Morzello and has been a life long area resident. She joins in heaven her loving husband, Stephen Edward Somley; brother, Anthony Morzello; sister, Dorothy Morzello Roberts; and brother-in-law, William Roberts, Jr. Survivors include her son, Scott Somley; 4 grandchildren, Brittny, Alyssa, Kylie and Travis; and 2 great-grandchildren, Harper and Miles. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends including the DuBose family, who loved and helped care for her for many years. Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, known as Betty to many but also uniquely called "Gummy" by her grandchildren. She was a huge fan of Tom Selleck, Betty Boop, and old black and white movies. Impressively, at the age of 84, she never had one single gray hair. Her kind heart, spunky spirit and witty sense of humor will be greatly missed by all. Friends may greet her family on Friday, January 16th from 11am-12noon in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Inurnment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
