Elizabeth W. Hetherington, age 79, of Stratford, retired LPN for the VNA of South Central CT, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born Bridgeport on May 1, 1938 to the late John and Elizabeth (Dolyak) Waldron and has been a lifelong area resident.   She was active in the Stratford Sister Cities Chorus until a year ago and the Divine Mercy at St. Stephen's Church in Hamden. Survivors include her beloved husband, Thomas Hetherington, her devoted children, Christopher Hetherington and his wife Tricia of Stratford and Mary Elizabeth Johnson of Seymour, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 27, 29017 at 10:00 a.m meeting directly at St. Stephen Church, 400 Ridge Rd, Hamden. Entombment will be in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Friends may greet her family on Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
