Obituary

Elinore Grace O'Reilly Scott, "Scottie", beloved wife of Wesley W. Scott, for over 62 years, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Mrs. Scott was born in Bridgeport on September 9, 1920, daughter of the late Francis Xavier O'Reilly and Barbara Mc Murry O'Reilly, and resided in Stratford for the past fifty-three years. Mrs. Scott retired from Dresser Industries after forty years working in data processing. As many of her friends know, Scottie was an avid bowler both at the Barnum Duckpin Lanes, and Nutmeg 10 Pins. Mrs. Scott also was active in the Dresser Travel Club, Dresser Retirees Duckpin Bowling League, Dresser Retirees Association, and was a member of St. Mark's Women's Guild. In addition to her parents, Elinore was pre-deceased by her daughter Barbara Angus Pascone, and her husband Anthony, a brother William O'Reilly, and her sister Betty O'Reilly Russo. Survivors in addition to her beloved husband, include her daughter Betty Angus Wantuch, 4 grandchildren, Beth Ann Schuster VanCise, Robert J. Pascone, Sr., Stephen J. Wantuch, and Jennifer L. Wantuch Daley, 8 great-grandchildren Kyle E. Schuster, Rebecca S. VanCise, Angela M. Daley, Kayla Wantuch, Robert J. Pascone Jr, Emma Lynn Pascone, Emma Grace Wantuch, and Matthew J. Wantuch, also included are many nieces and nephews; Beverly Figlar and her husband Neil, Patricia Russo, Nancy Riker and her husband Hank, Barbara Ploski and her husband Gary, Vincent Russo and his wife Virginia, Donna Grannan and her husband Dennis, additional family members are the following great-nieces and nephews; James Figlar, Kimberly Figlar-Barnes, Erik Riker, Karen Riker, Scott Mikita, Craig Mikita, Matthew Russo, Stephen Russo, Allison Russo, Jessica Russo, Benjamin, Christopher, and Nicky Grannan. A special thank you to the staff and clergy on 7-South, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, especially Carin Florin, Joan Allan, and Nickie Setal. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 25th at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
