Obituary

Elaine Kosh, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 2, 2026, at the age of 89. Daughter of Charles and Anna Kozulko and sister to Charles, Vera (Choch) and twin sister Eugenia, all predeceased. Born on January 19, 1937, Elaine lived a life defined by warmth, humor, strength, and deep devotion to the people she loved. Elaine was the cherished wife of Lawrence Kosh for 58 wonderful years. Their marriage was a testament to love, loyalty, and partnership. Lawrence preceded her in death this past Christmas Day, a loss she felt deeply.

Prior to her marriage, Elaine worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines, a role she truly enjoyed and one that provided her with countless adventures and funny stories she continued to share throughout her life. She later built a dedicated career with Avalon Properties, where she worked until her retirement.

Above all else, Elaine was devoted to her family. She was a loving mother to Michael Kosh and his wife Patricia, Mark Kosh and his former wife Sandy. Her grandchildren—Grace, Olivea, and Kyle Kosh—were the light of her life and her greatest pride and joy. She delighted in their accomplishments, their stories, and every moment spent together, always offering encouragement, laughter, and unconditional love.

Sundays were Elaine’s favorite day of the week. They were reserved for family, good food, and, most importantly, very competitive card games. Those gatherings became treasured traditions filled with laughter, playful rivalry, and memories that her family will carry.

Elaine was known for her strong spirit, fierce loyalty and the ability to always see the good in strangers. Following a tragic accident, she fought bravely but ultimately was unable to recover from her injuries. She passed at home, comforted by the presence and love of her family.

Elaine will be remembered for her resilience, her kindness, her memorable stories, and the deep love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be profoundly missed and forever held in the hearts of her family and friends.

Funeral services are private and have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
