Elaine Rainieri D'Amore, 82, of Shelton, CT, passed away peacefully at home in the presence of loved ones on February 6, 2025.

Elaine was born on June 29, 1942, in Bridgeport, CT to the late Ralph and Carmella (Connie) Rainieri.  Elaine graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School and worked with great dedication as a secretary for IBEW Local 488 and business manager for the Connecticut chapter of NECA.

Elaine is survived by her children James (Barbara) Bucci, Gregory (Susie) Bucci and Cheryl (Rob) Card from her first marriage; grandchildren, Jim (Nicole) Bucci and Brian (Amy) Bucci; niece Christine (Rich) Pastore and nephew Mark Rainieri.  She will be missed by her cousins, as well as close family from her first marriage: brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Elaine was pre-deceased by her husband Richard D'Amore, her brother Raymond Rainieri, and her most recent partner in life, Nick Zepko Jr.

Elaine was a very social person and lived life to its fullest. She loved to dance, especially ballroom, and even won awards in local competitions. Elaine took up golf in her 60's, sometimes playing several times a week, and made many good friends on the links. Elaine traveled extensively during her time with Nick, including many trips on his motorcycle. Most recently, Elaine enjoyed seeing her friends and instructors at morning exercise classes at the Shelton Senior Center and especially her group of friends who met at the Stratford Station House on Sunday evenings to watch their favorite local performer.

Elaine was well loved, and she will be missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.   meeting directly at at St Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton CT. Burial will be private.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
