Eileen R. Kuntz Schreckengost, age 81, of Stratford, passed away peacefully, after a long battle with Alzheimer's on Thursday, April 6, 2017 in Maefair Health Care Center, Trumbull. Eileen a retired Customer Service Coordinator for Subway Inc in Milford was born in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania to the late Leonard and Rosebelle (Bargerstock) Kuntz and has been a longtime area resident. She enjoyed volunteering at animal rescue functions, especially the Stratford Cat Project. Eileen was also an admirer of anything with angels. Survivors include her devoted children, Janet, Kevin and Jill Schreckengost all of Stratford, and Joy Patchell and her husband Rob of North Branford, 7 cherished grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Casie-Ann, Zackary, Ryan, Lindsay, Kelli, and Christopher, 5 great-grandchildren, a sister, Muriel Shick of PA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Eileen was pre-deceased by her beloved grandson, Cody and brother, Robert Kuntz. Eileen's family would like to thank the staff of Maefair HCC for their kind and loving care. Friends may greet Eileen's family on Tuesday, April 18 ^th from 5-8 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
