Eileen F. Matakevich, age 83, of Stratford, beloved wife of Joseph Matakevich, passed away on April 27, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital.

Eileen was born in Bridgeport on September 26, 1938, to the late Stephen and Frances (Palmer) Leskovsky and had been a lifelong area resident.

Survivors in addition to her beloved husband of 65 years include her devoted sons, Kevin Matakevich and his wife Sally of Trumbull and David Matakevich and his wife Kimberly of Stratford, cherished grandchildren, Ashley Matakevich of South Carolina and Tyler Matakevich and his fiancé Shannon of New York, great-grandson, Jaxson, brother, Robert Leskovsky and his wife Linda of Milford, sister-in-law, Eleanor Somma of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Eileen was pre-deceased by her son, Kenneth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 12th at 10:30 a.m. meeting directly at St. James Church 2070 Main Street Stratford. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home- Stratford.
