Edwin J. Rogalewski Sr. D.D.S., age 77, of Trumbull passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008 in Bridgeport Hospital. Dr. Rogalewski a U.S. Navy Veteran was born in Bridgeport to the late John and Sophie (Cieplinski) Rogalewski and has been a life long area resident. He graduated from Harding High School, attended the University of Bridgeport and received his BS from the University of Connecticut and his Doctorate from Temple University Dental School. He had his dental practice in Trumbull for over fifty years. Dr.Rogalewski was a former member of the Trumbull Jaycees, a member and Past-President of the Trumbull Lions Club where he was chairman of many events and a founding member and former Chairman of the Trumbull EMS. He was currently Commissioner of the Trumbull EMS Membership Association and was instrumental in organizing donations through the Lions Club to build the Trumbull EMS building. He was also a member of the Stratford Antique Gun Collectors Club, the Little Club, and the GNIAZDA ORLA Hunt Club. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and loved spending time at his hunting lodge in Grand Gorge, New York; but most of all he loved his family, friends and life itself. Survivors include his beloved wife Jane Jones Rogalewski, his devoted children Edwin J. Rogalewski Jr., and Karen Hammel and her husband Kevin all of Trumbull, his cherished granddaughter Emma Claire Rogalewski and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by his sister Dorothy Yarrish. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, November 26th at 11 a.m. in St. Theresa's Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull. Private Entombment will be in St. Monica's Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven Cemetery Trumbull. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford.
